We understand that some information disclosed during a consulting project is confidential. We follow a very strict journalist's code of ethics, never disclosing information that a client wants to be kept confidential. This is one of our core values, and is extremely important to us.
Nonetheless, some clients have asked us to sign non-disclosure agreements. Our experience has been that most NDA's are overly broad and seek to unnecessarily restrict our ability to work with the wide range of clients and publications that we have relationships with. To address client concerns, we have had a law firm draft a simple NDA that we feel adequately protects a client's confidential information while allowing us the flexibility we require to do all of the things we do. We will sign this agreement for clients that request it.
If you'd rather use your own NDA, we will submit it to our law firm for review, and will bill you for the time and fees incurred for this review and any necessary revisions prior to beginning any consulting work.
